Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix bags the 'Social Media Agency of the Year' award

Bengaluru, Karnataka — Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix has been awarded the ‘Social Media Agency of the Year Award’ by the Youth Marketing Forum – Social Media Summit & Awards.

These awards recognize campaigns and teams that have successfully created unique customer communities, used innovative social media, video and digital technology to increase marketing impact. And, Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix has won the same for its benchmark social media for its clients; Bangalore City Police and TI Cycles India.

Bangalore City Police collaborated with Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix, with an aim to strengthen the concept of people-friendly police and to create more awareness. This platform enables them to showcase the strengths and initiatives that the police undertake and work tirelessly, besides maintaining law & order.

Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix created platforms across various social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Blog and YouTube build this awareness and user engagement. The agency along with the Bangalore City Police set up a strong response management team to monitor the activities on the channels and to assist people in connecting with the right authorities in time.

The impact of this initiative has been great. There is a strong community of over 4000 fans, actively interacting on this platform. The likes are more than 5000 and the complaints that sometimes go unaddressed are brought up on Facebook and the concerned authorities are made aware of this. Other initiatives undertaken by the Police, like Women’s Safety initiatives, Child Labor, Senior Citizen’s Welfare, etc., are addressed on these forums with great user participation.

Post the initial cynicism when the initiative began 6 months ago, to positive and constructive criticism by citizens, this has been one of the biggest impacts on social media, where the citizens are now freely using the platform to talk to the Police and seek help or give suggestions for improvements.

Their objective was to utilize the digital medium to reach out to the increasingly high number of relevant target groups, communicate with present and potential customers, and cater to their cycling needs. To constantly engage and promote products to users using the digital medium, they collaborated with Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix.

Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix created and distributed quality, engaging and interactive content that provided the audience value and increased brand recall and loyalty. They used incentives through different social media games and applications and conveyed a coherent message across the brand properties, in sync with their offline messaging.

The impact was great. Various digital campaigns by Havas Worldwide Digital Matrix resulted in a considerable increase in footfall. The campaigns acted as a launch pad for numerous events, programs and product launches by TI Cycles India.
