स्टार न्यूज़ सायमा सेक्सुअल हरासमेंट केस और तरुण तेजपाल मामले में क्या अंतर है?

तहलका के प्रमुख तरुण तेजपाल ने अपने यहाँ काम करने वाली महिला पत्रकार का यौन शोषण किया और आज यह मामला सुर्ख़ियों में है. चैनलों के प्राइम टाइम में यह ख़बर चल रही है और तेजपाल अच्छे से नप गए. ऐसा ही एक मामला आज से कई साल पहले स्टार न्यूज़ (अब एबीपी न्यूज़) में भी हुआ था. लेकिन उसकी गूंज किसी न्यूज़ रूम के न्यूज़ रूम में नहीं गूंजी.

सायमा सेहर उन दिनों स्टार न्यूज़ में थी. उनके बॉस ‘अविनाश पाण्डेय’ ने उनके साथ दुर्व्यवहार किया. मामला सीधे-सीधे सेक्सुअल हरासमेंट का था. महिला आयोग से लेकर हर जगह सायमा ने गुहार लगायी. लेकिन न किसी चैनल ने खबर चलायी और न किसी प्रमुख अखबार ने प्रमुखता से इसे छापा.

स्टार न्यूज़ (अब एबीपी न्यूज़) ने उल्टे सायमा सेहर को नौकरी से निकाल दिया और करियर चौपट कर दिया. चैनल के संपादक आंख मूंदें बैठे रहे. सायमा सेहर सेक्सुअल हरासमेंट केस उन्हें कहीं नज़र ही नहीं आया.

अब देखिए वही स्टार न्यूज़ (अब एबीपी न्यूज़) कितनी बेशर्मी से आज तरुण तेजपाल यौन शोषण पर डिबेट करवा रहा है. कोई बताएगा कि सायमा सेहर और तहलका की पत्रकार मामले में क्या अंतर है?

यह न्यूज़ चैनलों के दोहरेपन का जीता-जागता उदाहरण. क्या सायमा को कभी इंसाफ मिलेगा? सच में मीडिया की कथनी और करनी में अंतर है.

सायमा सेहर न्यूज़ चैनलों के संपादकों के इसी दोहरे रवैये से खफा होकर लिखती हैं :

Who the hell has given them the right to comment or condemn Tejpal or to conduct debates in their respective channels when they had denied all help/ all assistance to me? eveidences were created against me , Commissions were influenced, Enquiry committe was bought over , accused were promoted and i was charged with allegations like i was doing it for money and have withdrawn my case after taking money from ABP!!!!! i am aghast!
