NOIDA: The second day of VRITIKA 2020, inter-college mega virtual Media Fest, saw top-notch performances and competitions all through the day. The conference is being organised in association with Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Dwarka.
Brilliant performances by various participants joining from different parts of the country amazed the judges and the audience equally. Mobile film making, News writing Hindi & English, Digital poster making, Just a minute and Anchor hunt were the competitions upped the ante on Day 2.
Dr Ambrish Saxena, Professor and Dean, DME Media School, appreciated all the participants and encouraged them to compete in more such competitions to polish their skills. Dr Susmita Bala, Professor and Head, DME Media School, expressed her happiness over the participation of the students from different parts of the country. “Virtika has become a brand in just two years”, she added.
Earlier on Day 1 of Vritika 2020, six enthralling competitions took place. Vaishnavi of PGDAV and Anuja Saklani of DME Law School bagged the first and second positions in RJ Hunt competition respectively. Kartik Vasudev of DME stood first and Sameer Salman of ISOMES secured the second position respectively in Photography competition. Lakshay Bisht of DME and Nitika Singh from K.R Manglam University secured first positions while Nupur Chanana from Amity University, NOIDA and Geeta Jha from Government PG College bagged second positions in Creative writing English and Hindi competitions respectively. Zeenat Jahan from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and Shubham Sharma from DME were the winner and runner up respectively for Media Debate competition. Vishal Sharma from UPES Dehradun and Goransh of IMS Ghaziabad were the winner and runner up in Singing competition.
Around 150 young media students and professionals from 62 different colleges, institutes and universities across India are participating in 18 different events like Creative Writing, Media Debate, RJ Hunt, Digital Poster making, Photography, Anchor Hunt, Media Quiz to name a few.
The media fest will witness the felicitation of notable journalists and media personalities on November 07, 2020 for their remarkable work for the society with the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award for Value-based journalism.
