आज रात 10 बजकर 50 मिनट पर (25नवंबर) मेरे बेटे कूची का फोन आय़ा… मैं ऑफिस में था, उसने मुझसे पूछा “पापा… आरुषि को उसके पापा ने क्यों मारा”… मैने कहा — बेटा ये आपसे किसने कहा… वो बोला – “मैंने मम्मी के साथ न्यूज़ में देखा”… मैने कहा — बेटा ये सब झूठ है… तो वो बोला “तो आप झूठ क्यों दिखा रहे हो… पापा तो अपने बच्चों को कभी नहीं मारते, आरुषि के पापा ने भी उसे नहीं मारा, फिर आपने झूठ क्यों दिखाया”… बेटे से बात किए हुए 1 घंटा हो गया है लेकिन मैं सामान्य नहीं हो पाया हूं… काश आज राजेश तलवार और नुपुर तलवार बरी हो जाते… कम से कम मेरे बेटे जैसे हज़ारो बच्चों का भरोसा नहीं टूटता…

न्यूज़ कंटेंट को लेकर भी टेलिकास्ट के पहले ज़रूरी चेतावनी दिया जाना चाहिए, जैसे ‘इस ख़बर को देखने के पहले बच्चे को दूसरे कमरे में भेज दें। घर में दूसरा कमरा न हो तो चैनल बदल दें’।

A very serious issue. Parents and children are sharing same kind of information through tv. Earlier, as children we used to read children’s magazines such as Nandan, Parag, Lotpot, Champak, Chandamama etc and adults satya katha, manohar kahaniyan etc and these magazines were out of bound for us. Now, children are exposed to the contents of Satya Katha and Manohar Kahaniya backed up by effective visuals. While they may become smarter, point is that their pscho-sexual development will be much faster and thus may lead to repression of sexual desires which may further affect their overall personality development.
