दूरदर्शन के अधिकारी पर सेक्सुअल हरासमेंट का आरोप,मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया खामोश

दूरदर्शन के बड़े अधिकारी पर सेक्सुअल हरासमेंट का आरोप लगा है. इस बाबत टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया ने खबर छापी है. टीओआई के मुताबिक एक प्रोडक्शन असिस्टेंट ने ये आरोप लगाया है. आरोप दूरदर्शन के असिस्टेंट डायरेक्टर जेनरल पर लगा है. टीओआई में ये खबर कल ही छपी थी मगर अबतक मेनस्ट्रीम ने इसे कोई खास तवज्जो नहीं दी. कई चैनलों में वरिष्ठ पदों पर रह चुके 'अनुरंजन झा' ने इस मुद्दे पर अपनी राय व्यक्त करते हुए एफबी पर लिखा - "टाइम्स की यह स्टोरी, किसी दूसरे अखबार और किसी टीवी चैनल पर नहीं दिखी .... आपको दिखी क्या ... और आखिर एक महिला होकर दूरदर्शन की डीजी ने इतना घिनौना कदम कैसे उठाया...???" टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया में छपी पूरी रिपोर्ट - Mar 15 2015 : The Times of India (Delhi) DD top babu accused of sexual harassment Himanshi Dhawan New Delhi [caption id="attachment_25154" align="alignright" width="300"] बड़े आकार में देखने के लिए तस्वीर पर क्लिक करें[/caption] A production assistant in public broadcaster Doordarshan has accused an assistant director general in the organization of sexual harassment. The complainant has charged him with making physical advances, subjecting her to obscene comments and harassing her by calling her to his chamber after office hours over a period of one year. The complainant has alleged that her complaints to DD DG Vijaylaxmi Chhabra did not result in any action and instead a “hostile'' environment had been created.Instead of punitive action against the official, she claims she was penalized by transferring her from DD's Mandi House to the Central Production Centre (CPC) office in Hauz Khas. Ironically , the complainant is herself a member of the in-house sexual harassment committee. Chhabra did not respond to calls or texts from TOI. When contacted, the assistant director general in question said the complaint was “false'' and “engineered“ to scuttle his chances for promotion. “This is a malicious attempt to malign my reputation. The complainant was upset as we did not recommend her documentary for the national film awards. She complained to the internal complaints panel and was given a fair hearing. They did not find anything untoward. She then filed police complaint as an afterthought,'' he said. The complaint was filed on March 4 but FIR is yet to be registered. In her complaint she said on February 10, 2014, she was asked to stay back after office hours so that the assistant director general could preview a documentary she had made.“All this while, he made explicit sexual overtures and lewd facial expressions,'' she said. She also complained about an incident on March 9 when he misbehaved with her at IGNCA, Janpath, where several DD staffers were present.She alleged that he touched her inappropriately and when she objected he hastily left.
